I am vehemently opposed to any of the proposed changes to the Telemarketing Sales Rule. I don't care to receive ANY kind of telephone call, whether pre-recorded or not, from ANY business whether I have a business relationship with them or not. Also, it is ludicrous to assume that these companies will abide by an opt-out option and I find the opt-out option an insult. How dare any company or the FTC and/or the FCC place the burden on us (as consumers) of "opting" out of something we haven't asked for in the first damn place.
