Hi, Concerning the Do Not Call list. I do not think that we should consider an additional safe harbor. I know I was not aware that there was a safe harbor. I know that I do not want any additional safe harbor. Also I do not want the wording change from the 30 day. I do not want any calls from local businesses, banks, etc. trying to create a relationship, nor do I want calls where I already have a relationship. It sounds to me that they are allowed to call people up to 3 Percent of those who answer now on a 30 day basis, is that so? Does that mean even those who have their phone numbers on the Do Not Call list are called? I do not know if the present law covers faxed messages. I started to receive fax messages from different companies, etc every day, on an average of 4 a day. I believe this started after I called to have my telephone lines put on the Do Not Cal list, although I am not sure.. Can these faxed messages over my phone line be eliminated under the law? I also choose not to receive any political calls. I received about 5 messages a day. I believe Do Not Call should apply to all calls that come to me trying to influence an election. No live person or recorded messages. Are these political calls, whether by a live person or recording, allowed?. I don't quite understand all the legalize that is used in the document above as to what you folks want to change and I am asking for a summary that fully explains what each word means. People need something that sounds simplier than what is above. How much safe harbor do they have now? I feel that I should not receive any telemarketing calls, whether by a live person or a recorded message. As you can see, I really believe that when I want to obtain a product, I'll make the call. I already know who I am going to vote for, so why should I be bothered even eliminating my messages. Maybe the law needs to be tightened up some. I will look forward to receiving answers to my questions. And an easy to understand document regarding the potential changes to the law. I do not mind receiving calls from charities and I do not mind talking to people doing marketing research. Thank you Joann Huffman
