I find calls by telemarketers, whether recorded or not, to be an intrusion into my privacy. I am almost 70 years old, I cannot hurry to get the phone, and when I get up from a comfortable position to answer the phone I want it to be someone I would like to talk to, not a total stranger trying to sell me something or ask me a long list of questions. I registered on the do not call lists for bothmy cell phone and land line numbers. The last time I rushed to get to the phone (and then no one was there on the other end!) I had a very bad fall, from which it took me over a month to recover. I vehemently oppose a law which would allow recorded telemarketing messages.
