If you allow the DMA to buy their way into these lists in the ways proposed you will cause telephones to become as trashed by junk messages as email is currently trashed by SPAM. Right now approximately 90% of all email messages are SPAM. If you pass these provisions, the same thing can happen to telephone traffic. The public has spoken: they do NOT want to receive calls when they put their name on the DO NOT CALL list. Do not prostitute the government by selling out the public to these ruthless unethical individuals such as the DMA and the various telemarketing associations. WE pay for the telephones, WE pay for the "air time" and WE should be able to decide who can and cannot use it. If we say DO NOT CALL, then by God they should not be allowed to call. What will be next, making it illegal to lock our doors from door to door salesmen? That is what you are leading to by denying us our God given right to tell these people to leave us the **** alone.
