I object to creating any safeharbor for companies to bombard me with phone calls. If companies already have a 'preexisting relationship' with me, they can ask me to opt in to their marketing efforts. I however should have the right to decline. The term 'preexisting relationship' is stretched to include the most tenuous relationships. I want to opt out and stay out of all unsolicited calls.
