This is what I have to say about finding a loophole so that the telemarketers can continue to bother me regardless of the program enacted to prevent it - I pay for my telephone, and I should have the RIGHT as to who calls me or not AS I SEE FIT! Here's a suggestion - I understand that the post office is going to increase postage rates again. Why can't the telemarketers change to mailbox marketers? I see only good things coming from this: 1. My phone is available for those to whom I want it available. 2. Perhaps postage rates won't be increased to the increased volume of "garbage" mail. 3. The new mailbox marketers retain their jobs, albiet they will have to be re-trained to run address labelers and other necessary equipment. I can't understand why John and Jill Q. Public are the only ones to be inconvenienced. Why can't the so-called "special interest" groups be inconvenienced once in a while? Sincerely, s/n
