I do not see why after registering my name and number with the Do Not Call Registry I now have to worry about receiving pre-recorded calls. If I sign up and say "NO" then my response will never be changed. As the saying goes - "What part of no don't you understand". Our phone is now quiet, our dinners are not interrupted and we only receive the calls that we want to receive. If you start with the recorded messages, our phone will never be answered (again) and our answering machine will be disconnected this time because I will not stand there forwarding through unwanted messages. What makes telemarketers think that the public wantes to be bothered and annoyed again - did they not learn the first time? If people want to purchase something THEY will do the leg work. I do not wish to be bothered with things that I do not want and did not ask for. This is an invasion of my privacy and my right not to be bothered and bullied. Also I fail to see why people should be required to "opt out". Again, when someone says NO they mean exactly that! Once this so called loop hole is opened it will be hard to stop anything concerning telemarketers and people will once again become targets for unwanted solicitation. Why create a bill and then change it? PLEASE STOP IT ALL !!!!!! No one who registered in the Do Not Call Registry wants this. Please pay attention to the mass numbers who registered the first time. We apparently did not appreciate the calls in the first place otherwise we would not have registered in the massive numbers that we did. Thank you.
