I fail to understand why the FTC would undo such a consumer-friendly law as the DO Not Call List. Recorded sales calls are not only offensive and intrusive, but they are also a safety hazard: IT's not possible to disconnect them. They tie up your phone line until they're done, and you can't call out for police or fire help. PLEASE don't let this proposed change or the pressures from the direct marketing lobby take away this important regulation. Don't authorize telephone SPAM and ruin our newly found peace and quiet at home at meal time! Deborah J. Cornwall
