Comments:
I oppose ANY petition submitted by the Direct Marketing Association that would revise existing rules regarding telemarketing. The DO NOT CALL Register is probably the most successful and popular action of the federal government in recent memory, and any attempt to weaken it, i.e., increase opportunities for telemarketers to invade the privacy of our homes, would be an egregious disregard for the wishes of the Register's particpants. I strongly urge you to NOT revise the existing rules that would result in increased prerecorded message telemarketing.
