Regarding changes to the national Do Not Call Registry. Please do not change anything about the law that would result in American homes and businesses recieving unwanted spam solicitation phone calls. In particular, do not allow companies to send pre-recorded message marketing to our homes and businesses. These pre-recorded messages were a hated component of the 2004 elections, we recieved up to 16 of them a day. Pre-recorded messages are an undue burden to recipients - depending upon your telephone equipment, you have to play the message to get to the end of it so you can delete it. The FTC is wrong to think that this change would have no dramatic results. If the law is to be changed, then eliminate political phone calls as well.
