I strongly object to the proposed new rule to “allow telemarketers to use prerecorded messages when they call consumers with whom they have an established business relationship.” As far as I'm concerned, the ONLY value AT ALL of telemarketing to our society is that it provides jobs to people who need them. The robo-calls don't even do that. I don't want my privacy and the peace of my home invaded by people with whom I supposedly have an established relationship. But for them to interrupt my life with a prerecorded call is beyond the pale! If we have have such a good relationship, they can relate to me in person. Please do NOT enact this rule. Thank you!
