the telemarketing industry was highly impacted by receant laws severly limiting their ability to operate. This is because their operation severly impacted the publics rights to privacy as well as private property. The new laws were passed because we the people campained for years to prevent the abuse the telemarketing industry applied to us so that they may profit. They now use all their legal power bought by the money they made by abuse of the public to overturn the will of the people so that they may once again invade homes and usurp our phone service for their monetary profit. I do not want prerecorded messages disrupting my life in my home from anyone. I do not by purchese of an item also consent to waiver my privatcy or proporty. This is exactly how they will interpit this "safe harbor." This is an attempt to reverse the current laws and your job in the trade commition is first to protect the rights of the people. I will continue to watch this issue and will act against any political or appointed agent that places the telemarketing industries welfare above mine. We got along fine without this industry for years and can do fine without them now. Businesses can still get their promotions out to the public in many less intrusive medias. It is your turn to do what we pay you for and protect us from an industry who subjested us to ever increasing anoyance and invation until we spent our time and money to inact the laws they seek to bypass. After I send this reply, I will e-mail my Congrassman and Senator and make sure they are watching this and ensuring them that I will also hold them responsiable.
