|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I believe this move to resurrect telemarketing is a horrible, antu-consumer, anti-American idea. Allowing so-called "pre-recorded message telemarketing" would roll back recent protections AND puts the onus on the consumer to call the telemarketer and request not to be contacted--a system proved ineffective. Even more ridiculous, those who have signed up for the Do Not Call Registry would not be exept from this new action. Please reconsider and end this new onslaught against my right to privacy as a consumer.
