I consider my home to be off limits to salespersons / telemarketers. I don't purchase things over the phone from a total stranger. If / when I want to purchase something, I will go to a store that sells the particular item I need and buy it. I was very pleased when the DO NOT CALL LIST was enacted.......my family now enjoys dinner and a good time for daily discussion without being interrupted by a telemarketer. I am TOTALLY AGAINST the new proposal, to allow a prerecorded message be sent to my home, where I either answer the call, and hang up the phone in frustration or have to waste my time scanning my recorder and deleting UNWANTED CALLS! The article I read indicated that anyone that objects to the calls can OPT OUT of receiving further calls.....well, I like many others have already opted out by signing onto the DO NOT CALL LIST. PLEASE.. DO NOT CHANGE THE DO NOT CALL RULES!!!!!!! If you do, then you don't have any respect for my privacy either!!!!
