Do not create any additional call abandonment safe harbors! Intrusions are intrusive, regardless of the excuse and regardless of the frequency. There are already too many loop holes in the law. As it is, the Do Not Call list fails to protect our privacy in our home, on our answering machine and any our of communications devices because of loop holes that permit solicitations for political and nonprofit purposes and by businesses with existing consumers. Simply because a business relationship exists is not license to assault the consumer, overload answering machines and clog voice mail, and thus deny the consumer receiving truly important or perhaps emergency communications.
