My phone is not a tool for companies to sell me anything. It is a tool to be used for what I choose. I want to be able to give my phone number to the bank when I apply for a home loan, and not have the bank unleash its telemarketing scum on me with credit card offers. There is NO excuse for a company to contact me regarding any matter unless I explicitly tell them to do so, regardless of any prior relationship. When I signed up for the do not call list, I sent a message to the government and companies telling them that I don't want to be called. Please honor that.
