Please do not change the Do Not Call registry rules to allow for organizations to leave pre-recorded messages. It does not matter whether this is limited to organizations I have previously done business with or not. It will significantly increase the burden on those with answering machines who will now be forced to address those unwanted messages if only to delete them. Now with caller ID I can see who is calling and just not answer the phone. If these same people start to leave me messages I will have between 5-10 unwanted messages on my phone each day! The Do Not Call registry is working well as it is (although even so I still get unwanted calls from strangers). I do not want to wade through unwanted voice mails to get the one or two that matter to me. PLEASE do not change the rules. This will create an additional burden on us at home so that not only do we have to contend with dozens of spam messages on our computers but now we will get spam on our phones. I could write more but it would simply be the same plea-PLEASE do not change the rules. This will not benefit the citizen and will only add to our aggravation with telemarketers who invade our privacy. Please do not open a loophole to allow them to do this.
