Do NOT allow recorded messages. My voicemail used to fill up with those messages, preventing clients from reaching me in emergencies or otherwise and preventing family members from reaching me in emergencies. When I had limited time to retrieve messages, I would spend very valuable time clearing the messages om the road, from court, from meetings to get to the few calls I needed. My private phone line would ring constantly while I was in meetings with clients and the interruptions were fully inappropriate. Communication is key for me in my work and in my family and I do not need this abuse. Despite being on the Do Not Call list, I CONTINUE to receive pre-recorded phone spam even now, though at lower volumes, and these recordings are for senior citizen services which are irrelevant to me or my family. If pre-recorded phone spam is allowed, my business and family will suffer and I will feel fully betrayed by the FTC. I CANNOT AFFORD TO HIRE ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER TO SCREEN THESE CALLS.
