I am strongly opposed to the proposed change. In my mind, I have NO permanent business relationships. I am an individual not a business. When I purchase a product from a vendor, I consider the relationship to exist only for as long as long as it takes for me to receive the product and verify it works as advertized (and for my finance institution to transfer the funds). After that point, I HAVE NO BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE VENDOR. By default, I do not expect to purchase anything from the again. If they earn my respect by NOT HARASSING ME ON THE PHONE and by providing a product that I would purchase again, I might consider it. Even so, the new transaction stands on its own and DOES NOT CONSITUTE THE CONTINUATION OF A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP. As I see it, I will not have the opportunity to control which vendors I have a "business relationship" with under the proposed change. Indeed, any vendor who wants to sell me something could potentially argue that "we have a (mythical) business relationship". Therefore I strongly oppose the proposed change. [While you are at it, please change it so that I have no relationships with non-profit organizations either. I wish they would get it through their heads that calling me on the phone automatically guarantees that they will NEVER receive any consideration from me.]
