Please do not entertain this change. This would mean more intrusions into our lives, homes by unwanted telephone calls. The telephone is one device that many still feel an urgency to respond to. THough I am able, healthy and well, and able to discern what I shall choose to respnd to, this is not the same as those who are frail, aged or unwell. I am surprised that the telemarketing industry has not yet figured out that overall, it is a negative memory that people hold about unsolicited calls. The experience with the automated multiple calls people received from political candidates in the recent campaign season should be proof enough. I am unhappy to think that the care that I took to read and respond to the privacy parameters that were mandated from companies with which we do business might somehow be outdone by rulings like this. Please do not entertain this change that would cause further invasion of our private space and time.
