What part of "DO NOT CALL" doesn't the FTC understand? What do you mean certain recorded messages are o.k.? The point is, I bought my telephone, I pay the phone bill, its a private unlisted number, I am not paying for someone to use my line unsolicited to try to sell me something I do not want. That is the reason why I registered my number on the do not call list. I get unsolicited FAX's constantly and it makes me angry to have to pay for the FAX paper, or get calls when I'm trying to eat dinner. I have to stop what I'm doing to answer the phone. "DO NOT CALL" is pretty plain to me.
