If I understand it correctly the FTC is going to permit marketers to use the 'Do Not Call' list to solicit sales via prerecorded messages. If this is accurate then I would have to conclude that such an action would be a breach of trust betwen the U.S. Government and the 64,000,000 people who trusted the FTC to protect their privacy. Even the considerstion of such action by FTC damages the credibility of not just the FTC but all government agencies as well. If the petitioner, Voice Mail Broadcasting, wishes to send prerecorded messages to its customers let them use their own customer list rather than placing the FTC in a position where it betrays the trust of this country's citizens. It is enough that our homes are invaded by unsolicited sales pitches to the point where it borders on harassment but to enlist the goverment in this efort is simply unacceptable
