Re: Amendment concerning pre-recorded telemarketing messages. This is a no-brainer. These are the calls people hate the worst. Anyone who would allow it shouldn't even have to ask if we want it because we would not have put our names on a no-call list if it was acceptable. The pre-recorded messages are the absolute worst because there is no one to yell at or complain to. Even just to hang up doesn't help since your time has been invaded already. Anyone in the FTC that would even consider this silly amendment makes me wonder whose payroll they are really on. This was already done during the recent election. We were bombarded with pre-recorded messages from politicians. What a farce. If the interest of the general public is behind this and whoever is behind this "loophole" has nothing to gain from this foolishness this would not even be brought up. If any elected officials are involved in this please make their names public so we can remember it at next election time. In closing I would like to add that a "no call" list means exactly that. "No Calls"period. It is a cheap trick to have responses sent via computer when probably half of the people on the no call list are not computer savvy or won't take the time to get on the computer to respond.
