It really does not matter to me whether the phone call is a pre-recorded message or a person trying to talk to me - the point is that I DO NOT want to be disturbed at any time, but particularly in the evenings when I am trying to have dinner with my family, get my children's homework done and get them to bed, by this nuisance. Caller ID and answering machines help but the point is that I really DO NOT even want to hear the phone ring unless it is an emergency by one of my neighbors, friends or family members. I think it is ridiculous that any such change would be made to what I view at wonderful legislation. It is my home and in the PRIVACY of my home I do not want to be bothered by anyone on the PHONE that I PAY FOR! It is my right. MY PHONE, MY HOME and MY PRIVACY SHOULD BE PROTECTED! It appears that once again someone is giving in to the pressures of businesses who employ these tactics and I think it is criminal!
