I do not think the rules for the Do Not Call list should be changed. Before the initiation of these regulations, I would receive pre-recorded telemarketing messages that would be left on our answering machine. Since there was no one to hang up on the call, it would go on for several minutes often taking up the entire time left on the machine. It has been so nice to be able to enjoy a quiet evening at home without answering the phone as much as 5-6 times between 5-8pm. If I want a service, I will call them. I DO NOT want them calling me for any reason. Allowing them to use a pre-recorded message means they can complete many more calls in a shorter period of time, which means the public will be the ones that suffer from frequent interruptions during one of the few times that the family can spend together. I also do not want any national published list of cell phone numbers.
