Comments:
Like many other Americans, I do not pay telephone bills and a dozen different taxes for my home phone and my cell phones to allow a safe harbor for any type of telemarketing calls. I am on the Do Not Call list and I want that to have meaning. I pay for the use of my phones, not the telemarketing companies. If I have a business relationship with a company, I will be the one to initiate contact. The last thing I want is unsolicited pre-recorded calls coming into my home. Do not loosen these rules by any means. If possible, tighten the rules as I still receive unwanted live and taped calls most every day."
