Comments:
Altering the rules of the Do Not Call List to permit "telephone spam" dangerous because technology is changing rapidly, threatening privacy. This creates potential for American homes to be barraged with unwanted telemarketing and answering-machine spam. Consumers who pay for telephone service should not have their connection used against their will for unwanted and unsolicited advertising. Senders of voice mail broadcasting should be required to get permission from consumers BEFORE sending messages.
