Please do not change the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule. The Do Not Call List is one of the few bright spots in this age of electronic and telephonic invasions of privacy. It truly serves the public. Remember what a huge percentage of consumers wanted it? The Voice Mail Broadcasting Corp. is obviously serving only its own financial interest in requesting this change. It has every right to do so. But it is an outrageous liar to suggest that 1) there is a benefit to consumers (NO ONE WANTS MORE TELEMARKETING CALLS!!!!!!!!!) and that 2) it only wants "consistency" between the FTC and FCC rules. Such bullshit. Really. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE FTC RULE. Thank you.
