Rather than changing FTC rules to match the FCC's, please instead keep the FTC rules as they are, and make any necessary rule chages at the FCC to close the loophole (rather than officially opening it in the FTC rules). I have signed up for the Do Not Call registry, and do not want to have pre-recorded calls made to my telephone from companies who believe that I have a pre-existing relationship with them simply because I once made a purchase from them. I can't imagine that there is a significant number of people who really want to be interrupted at home by every vendor with whom they may have made a purchase, looking for more business. Let's maintain the benefits of the Do Not Call registry. Therefore, please keep the current rules in place. Any rule changes need to standardize the regulations in this area should be made at the FCC, not the other way around. Keep the loophole closed.
