I would like to strenuously OBJECT TO ANY WEAKENING of the restrictions on telemarketing calls. Even with the laws that are presently in place, I still occasionally get illegal calls. And on two occasions in the last year have been subjected to prerecorded messages that would not disconnect when I hung up. Given that the existing laws are not being enforced rigorously enough to prevent abuses, it does not seem reasonable to weaken those laws.
