I am absolutely opposed to any loosening of restrictions on telemarketers. I do NOT want ANY calls invading the privacy of my home to attempt to sell me a product of any kind via the telephone. It is incredibly rude to call someone at home, interrupt their privacy, and attempt to deliver a commercial message, and it is far worse to have it be be pre-recorded. In my opinion, the rules are still too loose. During the past presidential election we were inundated with pre-recorded political messages. These messages do not in any way affect how I am going to vote, other than perhaps vote against whatever the message was extolling. Please do not loosen the restrictions any further; they are too loose already.
