I am on the do not call list and since Sept. 1, 2004 I have been bombarded with prerecorded messages from a company which does not identify itself or its purpose. The message is repeatsed twice, once in English and once in Spanish beginning with We have been trying to reach you, and ending with Please call 1-866-844-5878. I have received a minimum of one message per day for the past three months and on many days they leave more than one. When I am out of town, my answering machine fills up with repeats of the above message. Thus, those who need to leave legitimate messages cannot. I am furious! When I am home and answer the phone, I receive the same prerecorded message and thus cannot communicate with the caller. If it were not taped, they could reach me! After of month of this insanity, I returned their call to tell them to quit calling and I received another message that all representatives were busy and please hold for the next available representative. I refuse to return calls to people who do not identify themselves. Thus, this is a vicious circle that will never end. I will be forced to give up my answering machine which is a valuable source of communication for me. Please do not allow prerecorded message telemarketing to American homes.
