I am opposed to relaxing the rules as proposed allowing pre-recorded calls from telemarketers. The concept of an "established business relationship" can be stretched by businesses using deceptive practices or inserting a consumer's agreement to same in some fine print on a form such as a receipt. If a business wants to pitch a product to a customer, then the customer should affirmatively opt in to receive telemarketing calls. I do not want the burden of having to opt out of receiving annoying advertising from each and every entity that wants to sell me something.
