Many of these pre-recorded/electronic messages cannot be disconnected and must run their course. Lengthy ones use up message space on recorders. They are even worse than live telemarketers because you cannot hang up and disconnect the call. Besides, I pay the phone bill and I don't want anyone soliciting me by phone even if I have had business with them in the past. If I need info, I'll find it somewhere.
