I do not want any purchase I make with a credit card, or otherwise, to imply that I agree to unsolicited phone calls because I have a business/consumer relationship. If I truly want to be called by a company I can go to their web site and request to be contacted. Unless I specifically state that I want to be contacted I want to retain my privacy. The companies are stating that I will have the option to opt out. If this is a good solution then let's make the default that everyone is opted out unless stated otherwise. Let's let the people decide. It's obvious where their sentiments lie. Please go along with the wished of the people and let the telemarketing companies fend for themselves.
