The title, "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY", is, in my opinion, unambiguous in its meaning. The 64,000,000 people who signed up for the registry did so for one unambiguous reason-they DO NOT want to be bothered by unsolicited phone calls at home. Whether or not an unsolicited phone call is from a live person or a prerecorded message is irrelevant. The people registered on the "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY" have made it very clear that they do not want their lives interrupted by unsolicited phone calls. The proposals submitted to the FTC are simply attempts to circumvent and/or weaken the intent of the law. I urge the FTC to consider the number and desires of individuals who are registered on the "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY" and deny the pending proposals.
