I oppose any change in the regulations that permits more unsolicited sales telephone calls to be made to me at my home. I believe such changes violate the spirit of the Do Not Call list, which I am happily on. This especially applies to companies that call my home with recorded messages. I find these particularly annoying. I believe the rational that I have a pre-existing relationship with the company making the sales pitch is fairly meaningless. There are many companies that I interact with on a regular basis, but I do not wish these interactions to give them the right to pester me and my family with pre-recorded sales pitches. I would support restrictions that require that I give explicit permission to those companies from which I will accept sales calls. This sort of opt-in restriction would allow me to better control who calls me at home. We need to work to prevent a weakening of the Do Not Call list wherever possible. Thank you, -Stephen Simon
