I put all my numbers on the Do Not Call list when it started. I did this because - just the phone ringing during my few free evening hours with my family... is disruptive! I do not care if the Telemarketers want to be able to now call with pre- recorded messages. The phone ringing is enough to damage an evening! It was a nightmare during the Preidential Elections getting all those harrassing pre-recorded calls. If I could have protested even these effectively? I would have! Please understand that Postal Junk Mail is enough. I don't need my evenings stolen by those who have no respect for anyone's free time nor dinner hours. If I want their product I will respond to their junk postal mailings OR call them myself when needed. I DO NOT want to have to put up with all their daily / evening intrusive harrasing JUNK calls as well! If there was a way I could filter out all Sales Calls ( even Charity and Political and current Vendors ) I would do so in a New York minute. So please do not eviscerate the Do Not Call List's effectiveness by allowing teleJUNKCALLmarketers to have a loophole in which to slip around to bother me and the rest of us hard working Americans. The annoyance is the phone ringing at all! Then getting an unwanted sales pitch! Enough is enough. Please DO NOT CHANGE THIS LAW!!!
