My telephone: I want to "opt out" in advance of any amendment to loosen the "Do Not Call" rule. I would like to see political parties and charities also barred from telemarketing. Unwanted phone calls, particularly at dinner time, are an annoyance and invasion of privacy. The only way to avoid them is to not pick up a ringing phone -- this might leave a loved one abandoned at time of need.
