As a registrant of the national Do Not Call Registry I ADAMANTLY OPPOSE the FTC granting the petition of the Direct Marketing Association to allow telemarketing calls that deliver a prerecorded message to consumers. I see this as an out for telemarketers to use to place as many calls to a consumer as before any NO Call List (state or National) was enacted. The change in safe harbor ruling would render the Registry essentially useless for the purpose it was intended.
