My wife and I urge you to NOT amend the rules you refer to in your Notice of Proposed Rule Making, Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales, Docket # RIN 3084-0098. The Do Not Call list needs to be strengthened, not weakened for the benefit of the telemarketing industry. We also urge you to NOT grant the petition of the Direct Marketing Association that you refer to. While we realize that the current Administration always favors business over individuals, nevertheless (a) do you realize how despised the telemarketing industry is, and (b) American individuals still retain some minor right to privacy. Please do not whittle away what little privacy we have left. DO NOT AMEND THE RULES! Thank you.
