I can't believe this. Just when the government does something right like the No-Call-List it has to go and propose something to totally undermine what they were trying to accomplish in the first place. The people have a right not to be bothered by unsolicited telemarketing. It doesn’t matter weather the call is made by a person or a machine, it is the exact same thing. The people are still receiving unwanted, unsolicited phone calls. Wasn’t the whole point of the Do-Not-Call list to prevent unwanted telemarketing calls? If so, why would you allow telemarketing companies to use automated recordings? That means the government has wasted millions of dollars, again, setting up and maintaining the Do-Not-Call list which will now be worthless since all the telemarketing companies will switch to using automated recording in an effort to annoy people who are registered with the Do-Not-Call list. I hope that the people who are supporting this measure are depending on my vote for future election because they sure won’t get it. I will do everything in my power to inform all the people I know to fight this issue and to not vote for stupid government employees such as this.
