In the past month, I have requested a telemarketer (Specifically Discover Card) to stop calling my house on three different occasions. They have not honored that request. If they can't be controlled now, how will this effect how telemarketers harrass people in the future? I'm told there are fines that can placed on the telemarketers that continue to do that. Why after the 1st time didn't they stop calling? Do they not care about fines or the general consumers time? Please don't allow this to happen.
