By giving telemarketers one inch of leeway, they will take a yard and will again invade our privacy. My telephone is for my use, as a means to communicate with relatives and friends, for emergencies and for my own convenience at my behest. Telemarketers are just as bad as those who initiate junk mail. The government should have forced them to include a SASE with their first letter so that citizens would allow them to continue sending those letters, instead of the other way around -- notifying them to not send junk mail. If the Government forces junk mail organizations to have on hand a written permit from mail recipients, they would have been trimmed to a less overwhelming number. I don't want telemarketers to invade my house in any way. I live in a condominium where we do not allow strangers placing flyers on our doors and if we spot one we escort them out of our premises and complain to the company that sent them. Through the federal registry, we have done just that: notifying the company not to send their representatives, be that through the telephone or any other means. Thank you.
