Dear Commissioners: I have learned of this proposal and have read over it. As a private citizen, I urge you to vote against this matter. As things stand now, I get many communications seeking money, seeking my vote, seeking to sell me something. I don't object to vote seekers; the privacy invasion is part of the price of democracy, I believe. But it would be a huge violation of privacy and a great annoyance if the others were permitted to expand their offerings. Telephone solicitations frequently come from the Eastern Time Zone, and thus reach me at most inconvenient hours, in addition to not being wanted. Please do not accede to these requests.
