Comments:
I do not want the government to authorize companies to send computerized sales calls to people who are on the do not call list. It seems that if so many people are against telemarketers calling, as is evident by the amount of response the do not call list has initiated, then why would we allow companies to send computerized calls? It seems that these types of message and sales pitches only hurt the elderly as they are more likely to be "taken in" by such calls. If people want to purchase something, they will actively look for sites on the internet or through local advertising so it is never necessary for companies to call people in their homes to solicit business.
