Comments:

I vehemently oppose any ruling that would allow unsolicited telemarketing calls to be made to any private residence. This includes, but is not limited to, calls made by individuals or calls that contain prerecorded messages, even when there is an existing business relationship between the firm and the consumer. Unsolicited telemarketing calls are intrusive and have been shown to be a very ineffective marketing strategy. Every firm should respect the rights of those who have placed their name on the national do-not-call registry and do not wish to receive these types of calls.
