Comments:
The proposition to allow unsolicited voice mail is one which flies directly in the face of the mandate of the FTC - namely the protection of the public. The tide of legislation has consistently moved toward the position that outside interests have no explicit right to violate our privacy just because we choose to communicate with others. How difficult it must have been for the FTC to go against the tide of rights encroachment on land line communication; with that victory in hand, how easy it would be for the FTCto stand its ground today.
