This amendment is NOT a benefit to consumers. Please, please don't do it. Prerecorded telemarketing messages, even from companies that I have done business with, are spam and even more annoying than a live operator. You can't even tell them not to call you again on the spot! Consumers who want these messages should certainly be able to opt IN, but the rest of us should not have to jump up to answer the phone, note a phone number and make an additional call to get off someone's list.
