I strongly oppose loosening restrictions on telemarketers. The peace that came to all our homes when telemarketers were curtailed has been marvelous, and to think that it could go back to previous levels of harassment is unthinkable. I am elderly and rely on my telephone for most things; but it had gotten so bad---5-10 calls EVERY NIGHT--- I seriously gave consideration to giving up my phone. It was that bad. To allow businesses with whom one has had "a pre-existing relationship"---that is, one credit card charge at one store ---to invade our privacy at home is intrusive, and unthinkable. Please think before you change the existing rules. Life if more than commerce.
